Kate was raised in a small town in Eastern Oregon.  As the granddaughter of a Circuit Court Judge and the daughter of two High School educators, she had many opportunities to engage in civic activities.  Local, state, and national politics were the norm around her house.  Those early experiences had a profound impact on Kate, and she has spent her adult life engaged in service activities and advocacy.

Kate brings a wealth of experience to her candidacy.  She is a local business owner and a professional educator.  She spent a number of years on the Board of Directors for the Tigard Chamber of Commerce, and is currently the Board Chairperson for Project Homeless Connect - Washington County.

Kate and her family have lived in King City for almost ten years.  She is the proud mother of three girls, ages 12, 9, and 3.
